Planning a multi-item Hacoo haul from a spreadsheet: budget, weight and postage worked out before checkout

Last updated .

Short answer: A Hacoo haul costs the item prices plus one shipping fee: a basic fee by country for orders under 3 kg (£4.99 UK, €4.99 for Spain, France, Germany and Italy), then $5 for every extra 0.5 kg, per Hacoo's fee table checked October 2026. So a 2.4 kg UK haul pays £4.99 in shipping. Estimate weight per garment, keep the total under 3 kg where you can, and in the EU budget €3 duty per item category.

What a Hacoo haul really costs

A Hacoo haul costs the item prices plus one shipping fee for the order, plus any tax your country adds. Hacoo is a retailer: you pay once in the app and it ships the parcel, so there is no separate agent service fee or warehouse step. The part that surprises people is shipping on heavy orders, because Hacoo's fee jumps once an order passes 3 kg.

Search interest is modest but specific. Semrush UK data dated 5 October 2026 shows about 90 monthly searches for "hacoo haul", mostly from people who have already picked items from a spreadsheet and want to know what the total will be. That is exactly what this page works out.

Items plus one fee plus tax: the only variable that jumps is weight above 3 kg.

Budget columns to add to your sheet

Most public spreadsheets give a link and a price, which is not enough to plan a haul. Start from our template and add three working columns for the haul itself.

⬇ Download the Hacoo spreadsheet template (CSV)

The template already has Category, Item name, Link, Where it opens, Price shown, Currency, Size you need, Seller size chart (cm), Buyer photos checked?, Last checked, Status and Notes. It opens in Excel and Numbers, and in Google Sheets via File → Import. For a haul, add:

  • Estimated weight (g): your rough figure per item, from the table in the next section.
  • EU category: only for EU buyers, a short label such as "hoodie", "cap" or "trainers", so you can count distinct categories for the €3 duty.
  • Running total: a sum of Price shown, and a separate sum of weight, so you see the 3 kg line coming.

Check every link before you rely on its price. Rows go dead or sell out in popular sizes, and the price in a spreadsheet can be weeks old. Our guide to finding Hacoo links that still open covers rechecking.

Three extra columns turn a link list into a haul budget.

Estimating weight by garment type

Hacoo doesn't show a shipping weight on most listings, so you estimate it. The figures below are rough, typical approximations for a single item with light packaging. Fabric, size and packaging change them a lot, so round up when in doubt, and weigh similar clothes you own on a kitchen or bathroom scale for a better guess.

Rough weight approximations by item type for haul planning
Item typeTypical approximation (rough)Planning note
T-shirtUsually a few hundred gramsSeveral fit easily under 3 kg
Shorts or leggingsUsually a few hundred gramsSimilar to a T-shirt
Hoodie or sweatshirtRoughly 0.5–1 kgHeavyweight fleece sits at the top of the range
Jeans or cargo trousersRoughly 0.5–1 kgDenim is heavier than it looks
Padded or puffer jacketOften around 1 kg or moreOne or two can fill most of the 3 kg
Trainers with boxOften over 1 kgThe box adds weight; the heaviest common item
Bag or walletUsually under 1 kgLight for its size

These are planning numbers, not measurements, and they are deliberately conservative. Treat any haul whose estimate lands between 2.5 kg and 3 kg as possibly over 3 kg.

Round every weight up; a haul estimated just under 3 kg may not be.

How Hacoo's shipping fee works, with worked examples

Hacoo's own fee table, read on its FAQ page, sets a basic fee by country for orders under 3 kg: £4.99 for the UK; €4.99 for Spain, Italy, France and Germany; A$6.99 for Australia; and $7 for other countries. Above 3 kg, the fee is the basic fee plus $5 for each extra 0.5 kg. We found no free-shipping threshold. The table doesn't say how a part step is counted, so the examples below assume that any part of an extra 0.5 kg is charged as a full step. That is our assumption, not Hacoo's wording.

  • Example 1, UK, 2.4 kg: under 3 kg, so shipping is the basic £4.99. A haul of example prices totalling £60 costs about £64.99 before anything else.
  • Example 2, UK, 4.1 kg: 1.1 kg above 3 kg. Rounded up to 1.5 kg, that is three steps of 0.5 kg, so shipping is £4.99 + 3 × $5 = £4.99 + $15.
  • Example 3, Spain, 3.3 kg: 0.3 kg above 3 kg, rounded up to one step, so shipping is €4.99 + $5.

Note the mixed currencies: the basic fee is in your local currency, while the extra steps are published in dollars, so the app will convert them at its own rate. Hacoo's shipping page quotes 15–25 days for delivery to the UK, France, Germany and Italy and 15–30 days to Spain, so plan a haul well ahead of any date you need it for.

Under 3 kg, shipping is flat; above it, every half kilogram adds $5.

When splitting a haul into two orders helps

Splitting pays when an order is just over 3 kg and the extra steps cost more than a second basic fee. In example 2, the 4.1 kg UK haul pays £4.99 + $15. Split into a 2.4 kg order and a 1.7 kg order, it pays two basic fees: 2 × £4.99 = £9.98. Since $15 is well above £4.99 at recent exchange rates, the split is cheaper for shipping.

Splitting doesn't always help:

  • Only slightly over 3 kg: at 3.3 kg, one $5 step costs less than a second £4.99 or €4.99 basic fee at recent exchange rates, so splitting would cost more, not less.
  • EU buyers: each parcel is assessed for the €3 duty separately, so a category that appears in both orders is charged twice. Keep each category in one order where possible.
  • UK VAT: splitting to stay under the £135 line isn't something we recommend. VAT up to £135 is charged at checkout anyway, so there is little to gain.
  • Separate parcels: a multi-item order can arrive in several parcels. We haven't seen Hacoo explain how it weighs an order that ships in parts, so treat the fee shown at checkout as the final word.

Split when a haul is well over 3 kg, and keep each EU item category in one order.

EU duty and UK VAT on a haul

Since 1 July 2026, the EU charges a temporary flat €3 customs duty per item category, meaning per tariff sub-heading, in B2C parcels worth up to €150 sent under the IOSS scheme. Import VAT applies from the first euro on top. It is per category, not per item. The flat charge is due to run until 1 July 2028, when normal tariffs are set to apply, and parcels above €150 already pay normal duty rates.

  • Example: six identical hoodies in one parcel are one category: €3.
  • Example: a hoodie and a cap are two categories: €6.
  • Example: two hoodies, three T-shirts and a pair of trainers are three categories: €9.

Hacoo's EU help centre says that if you are asked to pay an extra import fee or VAT, you can send proof to customer service and it will reimburse you within 72 hours to your Balance in the Hacoo Wallet. Keep the receipt and, where you can, ask for refunds to your original payment method. In the UK, VAT on consignments of £135 or less is charged at the point of sale, so nothing extra should be due at the door; above £135, import VAT and any duty are collected at import. Our shipping and returns guide covers delivery and refunds in more detail, and UK buyers can read the UK spreadsheet guide.

EU hauls: count categories, not items. UK hauls under £135: VAT is already in the price.

When an agent's combined parcel is better

An agent buys each item from its marketplace seller, collects everything in one warehouse, sends photos before dispatch and ships one combined parcel on a line priced by weight, sometimes by volume too. For a heavy haul, that can beat Hacoo's $5 per extra 0.5 kg. It also catches wrong sizes before they leave China, which matters on a haul of ten garments where one or two misfits are likely.

The trade-offs are more steps, storage limits, and shipping lines that vary by agent. Put your own prices and weights into our Hacoo vs agent cost calculator, and read the full Hacoo vs agent comparison for returns and photos. Our guide to moving a Hacoo find to an agent explains how to trace each row.

Light haul: Hacoo. Heavy or size-sensitive haul: price an agent's combined parcel.

A step plan for your haul

  1. Shortlist rows from a public list into your own sheet and mark each link Opens, Dead or Sold out.
  2. Add budget columns for estimated weight, EU category and running totals.
  3. Estimate the weight with the rough figures above, rounding up.
  4. Work out shipping: basic fee under 3 kg, plus $5 per extra 0.5 kg above it.
  5. Add duty and VAT for your country.
  6. Compare one order, two orders under 3 kg, and an agent's combined parcel.
  7. Check sizes, pay, and photograph everything on arrival, because Hacoo's 15-day window to request a return starts at delivery and you pay return postage on a change of mind.

Example of a full plan, with example prices: a Spanish buyer picks two hoodies at €20 each and three T-shirts at €8 each, €64 in items. Estimated weight is about 2.6 kg, rounded up, so shipping is the basic €4.99. Two categories add €6 of duty, before import VAT. That is the whole budget, written down before the cart is filled.

For clothing sizes, use the clothing measurement guide. If you would rather send the whole list and get one delivered price, our WhatsApp service does that, with photos before dispatch, and you pay per order.

Plan the weight before the cart, and the haul total holds no surprises.

Haul planning questions

How much is Hacoo shipping on a big haul?

Hacoo's fee table charges a basic fee by country for orders under 3 kg: £4.99 to the UK, €4.99 to Spain, Italy, France and Germany, A$6.99 to Australia and $7 elsewhere. Above 3 kg it adds $5 per extra 0.5 kg. In our example, a 4.1 kg UK haul pays £4.99 plus $15, assuming part of a half kilogram counts as a full step.

Is it cheaper to split a Hacoo haul into two orders?

Sometimes, for shipping. If an order is just over 3 kg, two orders each under 3 kg pay two basic fees instead of one basic fee plus $5 steps. In our 4.1 kg UK example, two orders cost £9.98 against £4.99 plus $15. In the EU, though, each parcel pays its own €3 duty per item category, which can cancel the saving.

How does the EU €3 duty work on a haul?

Since 1 July 2026 the EU charges a temporary flat €3 customs duty per item category, meaning per tariff sub-heading, in B2C parcels worth up to €150 sent under IOSS. Six identical hoodies are one category, so €3. A hoodie and a cap are two categories, so €6. Import VAT still applies from the first euro. It is not €3 per item.

How much does a typical haul weigh?

As rough, typical approximations, a T-shirt usually weighs a few hundred grams, a hoodie or pair of jeans around half a kilogram to a kilogram, and trainers in a box often over a kilogram. A haul of six T-shirts and two hoodies may stay under 3 kg; add trainers and a jacket and it can pass the limit. Weigh similar clothes at home to check.

When is an agent better than Hacoo for a haul?

When the haul is heavy, size-sensitive or spread across many sellers. An agent collects everything in one warehouse, sends photos before dispatch, and ships one combined parcel on a line priced by weight. Hacoo's $5 per extra 0.5 kg adds up on a 6 kg winter haul. Put your own prices into our Hacoo vs agent calculator before you decide.

Do UK buyers pay VAT on a Hacoo haul at the door?

For consignments worth £135 or less, VAT is charged at the point of sale, so nothing extra should be due on delivery, according to GOV.UK. Above £135, import VAT and any duty are collected at import, usually by the carrier. Keep a UK haul's value in mind when planning, but don't split orders just to stay under the line; budget for the tax instead.
